January's Film Selection: Plight (2023), by M.J. Alhabeeb Jr. 

In this film, a Ukrainian woman comes to the US to care for her sister after she and her fiancée are victims of a hit and run. Faced with a dead end, her fiancée's father take matters into his own hands to bring justice. 

Written and directed by M.J. Alhabeeb Jr., this revenge thriller won awards for best picture, best actor, and best actress at the Wild Rivers Film Festival in August 2024.
