13th Annual Pirates of the Pacific Festival 2024 Since 2010 for 3 days a year pirates invade the Port of Brookings Harbor Boardwalk! The Pirates of the Pacific Festival is going into it's 13th year (canceled in 2020 due to covid) of bringing pirate fun and mayhem to the area. This annual event always takes place on the second weekend in August and runs from Friday-Sunday. It features Live-Music on two stages, Vendors, Food Vendors, Two Beer Gardens (with Rum at one of them!), A Mermaid Lagoon, A Pirate Village complete with Re-enactors, Cannons, and of course lots of Pirates! Created by Bruce Ellis (Capt. Curry), and Mike Moran (Capt. Squishee') and brought to the community by the Insider of S. Oregon Entertainment Newspaper, the event was designed to bring something back to the area for the support Ellis received in getting the Insider of S.O started (now in its 14th year) from the local businesses, residents and tourists. The Pirate Fest not only brings revenue to Brookings Harbor, but also to Crescent City and Gold Beach, filling hotels and bringing customers to local businesses and establishments in all of these cities and surrounding areas as well. In 2021 Crissy Cooper (Capt. Esmeralda) came onboard to help out and this trio along with the many behind the scenes people have manged to make this the highlight event of the year complete with an ocean view! The Pirates of the Pacific Festival brings in over 20,000 locals and tourists to the Port each year, and is pirate fun for the entire family! Friday- Noon-8pm, Saturday- 10am-8pm, Sunday- 10am-5pm AARRGGHH! Ye Be Ready Lads & Lasses, Pirates Are Coming!
